Digambarkan lanskap persawahan di dataran rendah dengan latar belakang perbukitan yang tertutup hutan. Sawah terbagi menjadi beberapa bagian dengan batas yang tidak teratur, beberapa di antaranya tergenang air, ada yang telah dibajak, dan ada pula yang telah ditumbuhi padi yang menguning. Lereng tanah digambarkan di sebelah kiri. Pada sudut kanan bawah lukisan terdapat penanda nama seniman, tempat pembuatan lukisan, dan tahun: Abdulsalam, Jogja, 1956. Di balik lukisan terdapat stiker kertas dengan nama seniman dan judul lukisan: Abdulsalam, Sendja di dekat Bumiaju. Pada bingkai lukisan terdapat tulisan dalam Bahasa Rusia: Hadiah dari delegasi parlemen Indonesia untuk Soviet Tertinggi Uni Soviet.

The picture shows a landscape with a field in the lowlands against the background of hills, covered with forest. The field is divided into uneven areas, some of them are flooded with water or plowed. Somewhere you can see yellow stems. An earthen slope is drawn on the left. In the lower right corner of the picture there is the artist's signature, the date and the place of creation: ABDULSALAM, Jogia, 1956. On thereverse side there is a paper sticker with the artist's name and the painting name: ABDULSALAM. Sendja di dekat Bumiaju. The frame has an inscription in Russian:"A gift from the Indonesian parliamentary delegation to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR".
