The painting depicts waves rushing onto the shore, conveyed by expressive white-green-blue curls. The shore and the coastal rocks on the left side of the canvas are conventionally drawn as uneven boulders of dark brown, beige, and various shades of green colour, protruding from the water. On the bottom left corner of the painting, there is the artist's signature. On the reverse – a paper label with the artist's name and the name of the painting in Indonesian: Tjetjep Lili, Ombak.
